BILLYS WOW CROWDS IN THE OC
The Billys wow-ed crowds at the OC Pavilion in Santa Ana with an ecliptic set list of old favorites and a couple of new numbers. Fans had a chance to rub elbows with the boys following the show in the downstairs "Vault" reception area. The OC Pavilion was rebuilt from an old bank in the historic downtown area and THE VAULT serves as a combination reception lounge and bar. |

New Black Rider Music Video Shown
Courtesy of Billy Banjo, we have a new video starring The Dirty Storey Band with Rick Storey and his brothers, Dwight and Dave. This rare 90's music video was filmed in a German gravel pit outside of Husum and features their 1990's hit song, "Black Rider".

Billys Galore Take to The Streets Frontierland, Disneyland - Following the closure of The Golden Horseshoe for refurbishment, The Billys in various teams and numbers took the streets to practice what they rehearsed. The original Billys and their various subs were joined by two newer subs, that included John Plotnick [from the Miners] and Matt [from Laughing Stock]. [see photo] Also seen watching the outdoor rehearsals were Cory Rouse and the recently returned Kevin Gregg. [Welcome back, Kevin.] Fans and friends eagerly anticipate the return this week-end of Billy Hill and the Hillbillies to the Golden Horseshoe, so come on by and say hello.

Hawaiian Tourists Invade the Billy Show
Frontierland, Disneyland - On July 17th, Disneyland not only celebrated their 51st anniversary, but once again our annual dress-up friends appeared at the first show. Previous years themes included disgruntled doctors and nurses, hillbillies and the original mouse-ka-teers. This year was no exception, as over 30+ Americans tourists in Hawaiian garb took over both booths and both front rows to catch one of their favorite Disneyland acts, Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. Golden Horseshoe Closed Temporarily Disneyland, Anaheim, Ca - The Billy Hill & the Hillbillies Shows will take a much needed vacation when the Golden Horseshoe Saloon goes down for refurbishment throughout the month of September. The Golden Horseshoe Saloon and The Billys are scheduled to reappear on Sunday, October 1st. Billy Fiddle reported that they have already had their 1st week of rehearsals and are now enjoying a much needed rest. |

The Billys Wow the OC Orange County Marketplace, Costa Mesa, Ca. - The Billys performed at Costa Mesa's Orange County Fairgrounds thrilling crowds, singing up a storm and selling CDs like hotcakes. Crowds were pleased to hear a few new tunes that included "Honky Tonk Women" [complete with Jagger impression], The Eagles "Taking It Easy" [sung quite well by Billy Banjo], a pirate version of Styx's "Come Sail Away" and a rather short version of the Kink's "Lola".
The Billys were well received and sold the entire box of CD they had available for purchase. Fans literally lined up for autographs. To see pictures of the event click here.

July 31, 2006 NEW Pirates Invade Local Hotel Disneyland Hotel - Guests and onlookers alike were shocked and dismayed to see the hotel pool invaded by a roving band of dastardly pirates known as Captain Billy and the Ship Wreckers. March, 2006 The Billys Join Pirate Forces Disneyland - The Billys jumped ship recently do don those surly costumes and take up piratey ways. The occasion was a private party connected with The Pirates of the Caribbean 2. The lads pointed out to this reporter that they rather enjoyed their piratey ways and look forward to all future chances they may have to pillage and loot and say ARRR!

October 8 & 9, 2005 The Billys play the 2005 Palmdale Fall Festival Palmdale, California - After a one year absence, The Billys played the Palmdale Fall Festival the week-end of October 8th - 9th. From the Millenium Stage at the new Marie Kerr Park location at 39700 30th St. West, Palmdale (the corner of Rancho Vista Blvd. & 30th St. West) fans were treated to all the regular favorite Billy songs as well as a few new ones. Some of the new numbers included Rick singing on two of them; "Friend of the Devil", an old Grateful Dead song and "Worms", a tune learned from them they played the BUG BAND for a private party at Disneyland.

August 6, 2005 The Billys Perform at Orange County Marketplace Costa Mesa, California - The Billys performed at "Come Back After The Fair Concert" on Saturday, August 6, 2005 from10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (with some breaks of course!) at the Costa Mesa Fairgrounds. They appeared on stage near the West Side Grill - Gabbi's Kitchen Mexican Restaurant. They were able to sing some things that don't normally do at Disneyland and were so well received that there is a chance they will appear at this venue again. June 4, 2005 Billy's Perform in Fullerton Fullerton, California - On Saturday, June 4, 2005, The Billys performed at the 2nd Annual Western Round-up for the SOCO District . All proceeds benefited the local 4H and FFA clubs. The venue featured carnival games, barbecue, refreshments and entertainment.
The guys introduced a new song at this venue.
The popular Statler Brothers number "Walls on the Wall"
featured a duet by Billy Elvis, Kirk Wall and Billy Banjo,

They also added live music to the pit area by playing The Billys newest CD, "I Want You To Want Me" at full blast.
Curious bystanders have inquired about the music and the racing team have been able to add many new Billy fans to the growing list of fans. There are a number of really great photos available to see of The Billys checking out their 1st race car courtesy of Dennis Fetchet.

The Billys Celebrate 50th Anniversary of Disneyland Disneyland, USA - The Billys celebrated Disneyland's 50th Anniversary on Sunday, July 17, 2005 by donning the Golden Mouse Ears to perform their Beatle Medley. See picture below and use this link to see more photos. Other activities that day included a ceremony in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, free birthday cupcakes and the Golden Ears seen above for all guests. |

The New Beatle Medley Frontierland, USA - The Billys recently added a new medley of Beatle songs into their act. Adding to the already entertaining "Ticket to Ride", the new medley includes "Please, Please Me", Billy Banjo's haunting rendition of "Something", Billy Bow's dead on version of "Yellow Submarine" [with accompanying background noise], and the always popular "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

The Billys Meet the Latest Sub
Disneyland, California - Joining the ever growing list
of Billy subs to perform in the Golden Horseshoe, former DCA
Miner '49er bass player, Keith Rosier recently played with
the gold team that includes Kirk Wall, Dennis Fetchet and
Duane Michaels.
Also, joining that sub list is longtime favorite banjo player, Rick Dunham, as well as Bridges of Orange County member, Eric Breton. Other new subs include Jonny Ray Bartel and John Plotnick.
