Dear Billys, My family and I recently had the chance to see some of your shows. This was our first trip to Disneyland since I was a small child. I expected dancing girls and cowboys, but we enjoyed what we saw that day much more. Every member of our party laughed, from the 3 year old to my granddad, who celebrated his 75th birthday there. He says to tell you he'd like his teeth back now! Granddad was also greatly impressed with the fiddle and banjo playing. Being from Kentucky originally, he went on and on all the rest of that trip about the wonderful version of Orange Blossom Special we'd heard and YES, we did break down and buy a CD to take home. Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, Hi, my name is Tracee Martin and I think you guys are so awesome! I can't ever go to Disneyland without coming by Frontierland and seeing a few shows. My friends and I now make you a yearly habit. The Elvis guy is so cute and fun to flirt with. My boyfriend really likes the banjo player and thinks you should do more ROCK, especially with the bluegrass sound. We have one suggestion though.... you should have a video screen behind you during the speed fiddling thing and show a train speeding by. I look forward to Memorial week-end. See you all than. Tracee

BILLYS WOW CROWDS IN THE OC
The Billys wow-ed crowds at the OC Pavilion in Santa Ana with an ecliptic set list of old favorites and a couple of new numbers. Fans had a chance to rub elbows with the boys following the show in the downstairs "Vault" reception area. The OC Pavilion was rebuilt from an old bank in the historic downtown area and THE VAULT serves as a combination reception lounge and bar.

Courtesy of Billy Banjo, we have a new video starring The Dirty Storey Band with Rick Storey and his brothers, Dwight and Dave. This rare 90's music video was filmed in a German gravel pit outside of Husum and features their 1990's hit song, "Black Rider".

Billys Galore Take to The Streets Frontierland, Disneyland - Following the closure of The Golden Horseshoe for refurbishment, The Billys in various teams and numbers took the streets to practice what they rehearsed. The original Billys and their various subs were joined by two newer subs, that included John Plotnick [from the Miners] and Matt [from Laughing Stock]. [see photo] Also seen watching the outdoor rehearsals were Cory Rouse and the recently returned Kevin Gregg. [Welcome back, Kevin.] Fans and friends eagerly anticipate the return this week-end of Billy Hill and the Hillbillies to the Golden Horseshoe, so come on by and say hello.

Hawaiian Tourists Invade the Billy Show
Frontierland, Disneyland - On July 17th, Disneyland not only celebrated their 51st anniversary, but once again our annual dress-up friends appeared at the first show. Previous years themes included disgruntled doctors and nurses, hillbillies and the original mouse-ka-teers. This year was no exception, as over 30+ Americans tourists in Hawaiian garb took over both booths and both front rows to catch one of their favorite Disneyland acts, Billy Hill and the Hillbillies.
