the Beatles
No
other musical group in modern history have done more to change the music
world or influence modern culture than the Beatles. For
over 40 years, the Beatle's music has changed the way many people think,
sing and look at the world.
There
will never be another group like them. |

Richard "Ringo" Starkey was born on Sunday, July 7, 1940 in the
front room of 9 Madryn Street in Liverpool's Dingle are. He was the only
child of Richard and Elsie Gleave-Starkey of 24 Admiral Grove, the
Dingle, Liverpool, England. |

A sickly child, Richard began playing the
drums in skiffle groups to
compensate for his ill health and lack of schooling. Ringo married his
life long girlfriend, Maureen Cox on Thursday, February 11, 1965 and the
couple had 3 children; Zak, Jason and Lee. Maureen and Ringo divorced in
July of 1975 and Ringo married Caveman co-star, Barbara Bach on
Monday, April 27, 1981.
Ringo went on to have a solo musical career forming the All Starr Band
and a successful film career as an actor.

John Winston Lennon was born on Wednesday, October 9, 1940 at
6:30 p.m. at the Oxford Street Maternity Hospital in Liverpool, England
the only child of Alfred Lennon and Julia Stanley-Lennon of Liverpool.
Raised by his Aunt Mimi and Uncle
George, he was encouraged in his music by his mother, Julia [who was
killed when John was 18]. |

He began forming skiffle bands in 1955 while a student at Quarry Bank Grammar School.
John married Cynthia Powell, a fellow art student at the Liverpool Art
College on Thursday, August 23, 1962. They had a son, John Charles
Julian Lennon, who was born on Monday, April 8, 1963.
Following the Beatles success and their mind expanding trip to see the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, John met and fell in love with Japanese
avant-garde artist, Yoko Ono and was later divorced by Cynthia.
In 1969, John and Yoko were married and after many unsuccessful
attempts, had a son, Sean Taro Ono Lennon on Thursday, October 9, 1975.
After 5 years of self-imposed exile, John came out of retirement in
early 1980 to begin work on a new album, "Double Fantasy." He
was murdered by a deranged fan in front of his apartment building in New
York City on Monday, December 8, 1980.

James Paul McCartney was born on Thursday, June 18, 1942 at
Walton Road Hospital on Rice Lane in Liverpool England the first son of
James and Mary Patricia Mohin-McCartney of Liverpool.
Following in his father musical footsteps, Paul began playing the
guitar in his early teens following the death of his mother, Mary of
cancer in 1955. |

Paul was introduced to John Lennon by a mutual friend and John and Paul
began to perform together in John's skiffle group, The Quarrymen.
Success followed.
A long time bachelor, Paul eventually married American photographer,
Linda Eastman in March of 1969. Paul adopted Linda's daughter, Heather
and they had three more children of their own, Mary, Stella and James.
Following the break-up of the Beatles, Paul went on form a popular band
with his wife, Linda called Wings. Their hit albums included Band on the
Run and Ram. Linda died of cancer in 1998.
Paul remarried on June 11, 2002 to model, Heather Mills at St. Salvator's Church in County Monaghan, Ireland.

George Harold Harrison was born on Thursday, February 25, 1943 at
the family home at 12 Arnold Grove, Waver tree in Liverpool to Harry and
Louise French-Harrison. The fourth child to be born to the Harrison's,
he joined brothers, Peter and Harry, and sister, Louise. |

Encouraged by his
family and the local skiffle group craze, George
carefully mastered the guitar and through school mate, Paul McCartney
later joined John Lennon's skiffle group. George married model, Patti
Boyd on Friday, January 21, 1966. Patti and George eventually divorced
when she left him for his friend, guitarist, Eric Clapton.
On September 7, 1978 George married Olivia Trinidad Arias, a secretary
from Los Angeles, California. Their son, Dhani had been born the month
before on August 1, 1978.
George went on to have his own solo career following the break up of the
Beatles including hit albums, All Things Must Pass and Wonderwall..
He later became a popular film producers in the late 70's and 80’s.
George passed away on November 29, 2001 of cancer in Los Angeles,
California. He was surrounded by his wife, Olivia, son, Dhani and friends.
