Welcome to the History of

Frontierland's

Golden Horseshoe Saloon

Laughing Stock Company

Presents.....

Frontierland:

The Little Town

That Could

2001 - 2003

The Show Overview:

The population of Frontierland, led by it's major, Sam J. McGillicuddy present a musical tableau history of their city in "Frontierland: The Little Town That Could".

Following the town from it's inception by local varmints and critters, to it's discovery by man, and it's eventual settlement, we are presented with musical acts to represent the town's deep history.

The show also, stars local yokel, Sheriff Clem Cludhopper, a musical accompanist supplied by the saloon's bar keep and starring Major Sam's lovely daughter, Sally Mae.

Musical numbers and variety acts include "The Ballad of Billy and Nancy", The Comedy Styling of Sammy J. and Little Chico", "The Amazing Mr. Roper." and the show's big musical finale "Frontierland".

Beginning in of 2001, Disneyland discovered that they needed a fill-in act to perform in the Golden Horseshoe Saloon on those occasions when Billy Hill and the Hillbillies or Dana Daniels and the Variety Show were out of town. They asked the members of Frontierland's improvisational street performing group, The Laughing Stock Players to come up with something. Their answer was the ingeniously funny "Frontierland: The Little Town That Could".

In the style of school pageants and small town productions everywhere, "Little Town" tells the story of the founding and history of Frontierland.
