[The 48th Anniversary of Disneyland]

Cousin Billy Scott and some of the other cousins

a standin' in line for the show.

Three cousins shared this reporter's table.

The lovely girl in the blue jeans is Billy Crystal.

 [I kid you not.]

On Thursday, July 17th, 2003, the Golden Horseshoe Saloon was invaded by this mesh a' kinfolk from down home [i.e. ..the mountains of Santa Monica]. Led by cousin Billy Scott [pictured to the left in front] the 1:15 show was the target of this long overdue family reunion with their Billy Hill cousins, and the 38 of them nestled on down for a good ol' time and some vittles.

Billy Elvis' reaction when the curtains opened.

Some of the cousins take over Walt's booth.

All the Billies are surprised and amused

and filling in this day, for Billy Mandolin,

is Billy Duane.

This was even a fun show for the entertainers, as Billy Elvis smiled through the whole show.

In honor of the kinfolk's visit, Billy Fiddle

begins to play "The Ballad of Jed Clampett"

by Flatt & Scruggs....

.....and than sings the lyrics, too. We almost never get to hear Billy Fiddle sing a solo,

and the crowd went wild.

   Billy welcomes the cousins.....

......and the cousins react.

The number of Billy Hill kinfolk in the audience

was staggering.

The cousins' root Billy Fiddle on,

but to no avail.....still 36 miles an hour.

Sharon, long time Billy supporter and Rod Miller friend, rests briefly during the show.

Yes, that is, Laughing Place.com editor,

Doobie Mosely in the foreground.

Billy Kirk and Billy Scott have a staring contest while Billy Fiddle poses for the camera.

For the 10,00th plus time, the bow accident happens again and Billy blames it on peer pressure from the kinfolk a' being thar.

Also visiting that day was Laughing Place mascot, Flounder. Wearing his own Mouse ears and sporting his own stroller, he got the royal "Billy" treatment in his front row seat.

The cousins gather 'round fer a visit.

The Laughing Place staff and friends

following the show .....

.....including editors and founders,

Doobie and Rebekah.

Below are the two group photographs that

were taken for the family photo album.

Pictured to the left are "Our Boys"

basking in the glory of family unity.

Ma would have been proud!

These 38 wonderful people are actually friends and co-workers, who travel together performing at  Renaissance Faires and every year they met at Disneyland on it's anniversary with a different theme. This year, it was hillbillies, but in the past it was included Japanese tour groups complete with Tour guide Scott, jungle safari explorers discovering Disneyland and Cowboys and Indians. Thanks Scott and friends for one of the most enjoyable Billy experiences I've ever had.
