New Billies Britches A Hit, Fans
See Red |
|
 |
Dateline,Disneyland-November 30, 2002
Unveiled at Saturday's 11:45
am Billy Hill Christmas Show were the newest costume addition to
their wardrobe...red bib overalls.
In true holiday
spirit, the Billies literally dressed for the occasion by donning
the festive hillbilly gear. Absent that day was Billy Mandolin, but
he was well represented by Billy sub, Denny Hardwick.
Pictured here to the left
are Billy Denny, Billy Bass, Billy Elvis, Mr. Mike Stand, and Billy
Fiddle.
Fan reaction ranged from
comments about their "slimming effect", to "very fashionable", "a
scream" and "adorable".

Here's Elvis with a
Christmas Cow-boy look that went bully-up.. |
Billy Bass is decked out
in candy cane fashion with matching canes in his hat band. It
was just too sweet for him. |
There's Mandolin Magic in
a snappy Santa print for Billy Mando. This St. Nick classic
didn't deliver. |
For Billy Denny, it was a
poinsettia print in reds and greens that failed the final
costume test. |
Billy Fiddle looks fine in
his elegant tartan plaid pattern, but it too was vetoed. |
Farley's shows us the
powder-blue Snowflake pattern that never flew with Billy
members. |

Dateline- Disneyland - December 2, 2002
This past Monday's Billy Hill Show marked the first recent
performance of Farley the Fiddler [a.k.a. Gary Francisco] as a new Billy
sub.
Originally a Bear Country street performer a decade ago, Gary added
a new dimension to the show by doing his famous comedy routine about
sounds a violin can make. Sounds include birds, cats, dogs, race
cars, police sirens, cows and of course, trains. This lead to the
Orange Blossom Special-Farley style.
To see Gary's first day pictures as a Billy sub, go to this

An Excellent Stocking Stuffer!
Billy sub and Barncat regular, Rick Dunham has a CD available called
San Antonio.
In
this reporter opinion, it is the best country style CD to be heard
in a long time. Copies are available through Rick. Pop on over and
pay him a visit at DCA and tell him the Billy Gazette highly
recommended it.
CD's
are $10.00 each. For more CD info, go to
