Heading up the band, as both lead guitar and leading man, Kirk Wall [a.k.a. Billy Elvis] demonstrates grace in its most hillbilly-like form. Kirk Wall is an original member of the group that began playing in the late 1980's in Disneyland's Bear Country as Billy and the Hillbillies. In 1992, the Hillbilly band was moved to Frontierland and performed a street show, where the name Hill was added to the title. In 1994, following the closing of the Golden Horseshoe Jamboree Show, Kirk moved into the Golden Horseshoe to star in the Billy Hill and the Hillbillies Show along with Dennis Fetchet, and brothers, John and Evan Marshall. On February 6, 2003, he performed his 10,000th show with the Hillbillies in the Golden Horseshoe Saloon. Kirk currently plays 5 days a week with the Billy Blue Team and the Billy Gold Team. A seasoned professional, Kirk has appeared as an Elvis impersonator in an episode of TV's "The Fall Guy" and as a doctor on "General Hospital". His other credits include stage productions of "Grease", "Evita", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown", and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat". As well as being one of our favorite hillbillies, he performs as Tony Fabulous with Tony Fabulous and the Big Shots, as a member of the 50's doo-wop group, The Knights and he still manages to do his Elvis and Austin Powers impersonations all over California. |
