| Whether he is slapping his bass, playing the fiddle with vigor, or belting out a song, John Marshall [aka Billy Bass] is the heartbeat of Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. Raised in Southern California in classical music traditions, John is the founder and leader of the Hillbillies and real life brother of Evan Marshall [aka Billy Mandolin]. He has admitted to playing at "almost every theme park in Southern California" and says he has a scratch on his bass from every theme park to prove it. He has also played with the Long Beach Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bridges of Orange County String Ensemble, and guests spots with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic, The Grand Rapids Symphony, the Houston Symphony and the Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra. |
