Located in Tomorrowland, this exhibit featured sets and props from the original movie. It was originally meant to be a temporary exhibit, but proved to be quite popular and stayed for over 11 years.

3D Jamboree

June 16, 1956

Located at the Mickey Mouse Theater in Fantasyland, this rare series of cartoon shorts was filmed in 3D.

Adventure Through Inner Space

Aug. 5, 1967

Located in Tomorrowland, it was presented by Monsanto. Later, Star Tours later took over the building. Guests are shrunken and transported into the world of molecules via a giant telescope.

Sept. 2, 1985

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

June 14, 1958

Located in Fantasyland, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland are retold in this dark ride. We join Alice in falling down the rabbit's hole. It was closed on September 6, 1982, remodeled and re-opened on April 13, 1984.

Alpine Gardens

Dec. 1967

Located at the left entrance to Tomorrowland, this restful garden spot once was home to the Monsanto House of the Future. In 1996, it became King Triton's Gardens and home to the Ariel character meet and greet.

Aluminum Hall of Fame

June, 1960

Located in Tomorrowland, this exhibit sponsored by Kaiser Steel, showed guests the history, production and uses of aluminum.

America Sings

Located in Tomorrowland, Sam the Eagle leads us through America's musical heritage in 4 separate scenes through the use of a rotating building. It was formerly The Carrousel of Progress.

Located in Tomorrowland, this exhibit shows how animation art is done for movies. The first feature presented was Sleeping Beauty.

Astro-Jets

March 24, 1956

Located in Tomorrowland, these rotating rocket jets take guests on a flying mission over the earth. Guests control the height of each rocket with a control stick. It was also known as Tomorrowland Jets or Rocket Jets.

Astro Orbiter

May 22, 1998

Located at the entrance to Tomorrowland, guests guide a two seated jet through circular space in this revamped attraction. Originally called the Rocket Jets, it was remodeled, renamed and moved in 1998 when Tomorrowland was renovated.

Babes in Toyland Exhibit

Dec.17, 1961

Located in the Main Street Opera House in Town Square, this exhibit featured sets and props from the recently filmed Babes in Toyland starring Tommy Sands, Annette Funicello and Ray Bolger.

Located in Fantasyland and part of the Disney Afternoon promotion, this area provided fans with a chance to meet and be photographed with "Tail Spin" star, Baloo the Bear. This area was eliminated when construction began for Mickey's Toontown.

Located in Tomorrowland, this exhibit sponsored by the Crane Co. featured all the latest modern bathroom conveniences. Also, called "Crane's Bathroom of Tomorrow."

Big Game Safari Shooting Gallery

June, 1962

Adventureland Guests have a chance to be big game hunters in this Adventureland attraction. Also called the Safari Shooting Gallery.

Big Thunder Railroad

Sept. 15, 1979

Located in Frontierland, this roller coaster style ride through the old west included earthquakes, landslides, dark caverns and swarms of Disney-style bats. It was designed to look like Bryce Canyon National Park and was billed as "the wildest ride in the wilderness".

Big Thunder Ranch

June 27, 1986

Located in Frontierland, this recreation of an 1880's working farmhouse and ranch included a blacksmith and harness-maker. Disney used the ranch as a working environment for their stable of work horses. It included live music briefly with the Billy Hill and the Hillbillies Show 5 times a day. Parts of it were closed to make room for the Festival of Fools Arena from 2/1/96 to 4/18/1998.The food area was used for corporate and special events from 1998 to 2004.

   It was later opened and called Little Patch of Heaven, based on the Disney Animation. It is currently used publicly only for Halloween and Christmas events.

Boat Cruise to Gummi Glen

1991

Located in Tomorrowland, this motor boat cruise takes guests through tame and rapid waters, as we journey to Gummi Glen with the Gummi Bears. It was popular with children, who liked to drive the crafts. It was also called the Phantom Boats, The Motor Boat Cruise, Boat Cruise to Gummi Glen and Fantasia Gardens.

Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster

Located in Tomorrowland in the old Circle-vision building, this dark ride attraction places you in a ride vehicle with a set of laser guns and room after room of targets as you attempt to destroy the evil Emperor, Zorg.

Canal Boats of the World

Located in Fantasyland, these open passenger boats take guests through a miniature villages from famous Disney stories. It was redesigned in 1956 and renamed the Storybook Land Canal Boats.

Casey Junior Circus Train

Located in Fantasyland, this miniature train ride abroad Dumbo's Casey Junior takes guests through the Storybook land area. Because of mechanical problems it was not running on opening day, but was opened 2 weeks later.

Catfish Cove

Located in Frontierland along the Rivers of America, this old time fishing hole allowed children to actually experience fishing for the first time.

 

 

Chip and Dale's Acorn Ball Crawl

Located in Mickey's Toontown, Chip and Dale host a pit filled with plastic red and yellow acorns for their young visitors to burrow through. It was closed due to health and safety concerns.

Located in Mickey's Toontown, Chip and Dale's Toontown home boosts ladders, slides and climbing fun for young children.

Circa-rama Featuring "America the Beautiful"

1960

Located in Tomorrowland, this new feature showing scenes of America was filmed and used to replace "Tour of the West". This film had been filmed for the World's Fair in Brussels and was brought to Disneyland in 1960.

Circa-rama USA featuring "Tour of the West"

Located in Tomorrowland and sponsored by American Motors, it was a 360* film shown in a circular auditorium featuring scenes from the western United States. It was filmed with 11 cameras mounted in a circle. This system was invented by Disney Imagineering technicians.

Circle-vision 360 Theater featuring "America the Beautiful"

7/1967

Located in Tomorrowland, this new film process using just nine cameras was introduced. It was sponsored by Bell Telephone Systems. The feature was re-filmed using the new technique with scenes added.

Circle-vision 360 Theater featuring "American Journeys"

1984

Located in Tomorrowland, a newer fresher American film was introduced to the Circle-Vision Theater. It was sponsored by PSA Airlines from 7/4/1984 to 7/17/1989 and Delta Airlines from 7/17/1989 to 1/1/1996. It was closed to make room for the Rocket Rods attraction during the re-building of an all new Tomorrowland in 1998.

 

From 1984 to 1989, it featured a short pre-show entitled All Because Man Wanted to Fly."

Circle-vision 360 Theater featuring "The Wonders of China"

1984

Located in Tomorrowland, a 360* movie on the wonders of China and Chinese history was borrowed from Epcot in Florida. It was sponsored by Delta Airlines until 1/1/1996. It was closed to make room for the Rocket Rods attraction during the re-building of an all new Tomorrowland in 1998.

 

From 1984 to 1989, it featured a short pre-show entitled All Because Man Wanted to Fly."

Clock of the World

Located at the entrance to Tomorrowland, this time centerpiece showed guests times zones from all around the world. It was removed when Tomorrowland was redesigned in 1967.

Columbia Sailing Museum

Located in Frontierland, this exhibit showed a recreated version of a seaman's quarters in the 1800's.

Columbia Sailing Ship

6/14/58

Located in Frontierland, this ship is a historical replica of the first ship to circum-navigate the globe. It travels the Rivers of America during its busier seasons. It is also used as Captain Hook's Pirate Ship in the Fantasmic Show. It is docked in Fowler's Harbor named after Admiral Joe Fowler who helped build Disneyland.

Conestoga Wagons

Located in Frontierland, these Conestoga Wagons traveled the same Disney-made trails of the Stage coaches until the horses became too unpredictable.

Cosmic Waves

Located in Tomorrowland, this exhibit is a  water area featuring leaping fountains and a globe that floats on water. It was opened with the new Tomorrowland in May of 1998. The water is no longer turned on because of crowds.

Country Bear Christmas

11/01/84

Located in Bear Country, this Christmas version of the country bear's show played seasonally from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. It was opened November, 1984. It was only shown during Thanksgiving-Christmas Season. It closed on Jan. 3, 2000.

Country Bear Jamboree

3/24/72

Located in Bear Country, this original show featured 18 wild and wooly bears entertaining us with their version of bluegrass music at it's finest. It was removed to make room for the new Winnie the Pooh attraction.

Country Bear Vacation Hoedown

Located in Bear Country, this vacation version of the Country Bear's show that played seasonally in the summers. The Country Bear's building was renamed The Country Bear Playhouse on July 4, 1986.

Davy Crockett's Arcade

Located in Frontierland, this attraction offers young pioneer's to hunt for big game like Davy Crockett himself. It became Davy Crockett's Frontier Arcade in 1985.

Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes

5/19/71

Located in Bear Country, canoes glide along the Rivers of America, as the guests paddle their own craft. It was formerly the Indian War Canoes and is the only attraction were guests must work to arrive at their destination.

Davy Crockett's Frontier Arcade

Located in Frontierland, here's a chance for young pioneer's to hunt for big game like Davy Crockett himself. It later became The Davy Crockett's Pioneer Mercantile in 1987.

1956

Located in Frontierland, this museum featured life size wax figures of Fess Parker and Buddy Ebsen, as well as many frontier artifacts.

Located in Fantasyland's Small World Mall, Disney recreated a child size version of Duckburg for children to play in. A special event to promote the Disney Afternoon cartoon block on the Disney Channel.

Disneyland-Alweg Monorail

Located in Tomorrowland, it was the first operating monorail transportation system in the country, but was later used to transport guests between the Disneyland Hotel and now Downtown Disney.

Disney Afternoon Motor Boat Cruise

Located in Fantasyland, the Motor Boat Cruise attraction was retro-fitted to a Gummi Bear theme, as we cruise the waters of Gummi Glen. It was themed after the Disney Afternoon Show, The Adventures of the Gummi Bears.

This engine traveled throughout the park. Walt Disney 's passion for railroad is brought to the park through the Disneyland Railroad system that encircles the perimeter of the park. Named after Santa Fe Railroad pioneer, C. K. Holliday, it was built from scratch at the Disney Studio.

This engine traveled throughout the park. Walt Disney 's passion for railroad is brought to the park through the Disneyland Railroad system that encircles the perimeter of the park. Named for the 1958 Railroad president, Fred Gurley, it was rebuilt from a 1894 Louisiana locomotive.

Located in Fantasyland, guests, young and old, drive their own mini cars through a miniature roadway system. It was renamed Midget Autopia in 1957 and presented by the Atlantic-Richfield Oil Co.

Located in Fantasyland, this theater venue used for the original Mouseketeers presents shows, cartoons, assorted press conferences and company meetings. It was closed to make room for Pinocchio's Daring Adventure in 1981.

Located in Fantasyland, this state of the art venue has been used for shows staged over the years at Disneyland. It was originally a dance location called Videopolis and is currently sponsored by Nestles.

The Fifth Freedom Mural

Located in the Opera House on Main Street USA, this exhibit  features a 53 ft. long mural that explains the 5th freedom in the US Constitution, the freedom of free enterprise.

 

 

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage 6/11/2007 Located in Tomorrow's lagoon, this re-themed ride features a tour of Nemo's underwater world based on the Disney-Pixar movie, "Finding Nemo". It was originally the Submarine Voyage. still open  

Fire Engine [or Fire Truck]

Located on Main Street USA, a Main Street vehicle used for transporting guests from Town Square to the "hub" in front of the Castle. It was sometimes called the Fire Wagon.

Flight Circle 1955 This Tomorrowland area was an exhibit for showcase remote control vehicles and briefly exhibited flying power packs for people. 1966  

Flight to the Moon

Located in Tomorrowland, this  simulated space ship ride took park guests to the Moon. It included a pre-show trip to Mission Control to meet Mr. Johnson and his staff. It was presented by McDonnell-Douglas.

Flying Saucers

Located in Tomorrowland, individually controlled circular vehicles rode on a cushion of air supplied from beneath of attraction floor. It was closed because, it was a major headache for maintenance to keep the attraction running.

Located in Frontierland, guests can test their shooting skills while aiming at  2 dimensional objects with a western theme. It was originally the Frontierland Shooting Gallery. It was rebuilt to be all electronic. This attraction is not included in the price of admission.

General Electric's Carrousel of Progress

Located in Tomorrowland, this attraction featured a  musical and humorous audio-animatronic look at the development of electricity to make our lives easier. It is shown in 4 tableau scenes through the life of an average American family from 1890 to 1970. It was presented by General Electric from 1967 to 1985. It was moved to Walt Disney World after it closed at Disneyland, where it is still open.

Golden Horseshoe Revue

Located in the heart of Frontierland, this rip roaring western Saloon revue featured famous funny man, Wally Boag, Betty Taylor, Irish tenor, Fulton Burley and a cast of beautiful can-can girls.

Located in Mickey's Toontown, this house features large, soft furniture and a bouncy floor provide younger children with the ultimate jumping experience as they visit Goofy's home.

Grand Canyon Diorama

Located between Tomorrowland and Main Street Stations,  this diorama is a view from the top rim of the Grand Canyon. It includes painted scenery and real stuffed animals from the area. Music for the ride is "The Grand Canyon Suite" by Ferde.

Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln

Located on Main Street USA, through the magic of audio-animatronics, we are able to actually see President Abraham Lincoln deliver his Gettysburg Address. It was originally built for Illinois Pavilion at New York World's Fair 1964 - 65. In the 1960's, it was sponsored by Lincoln Savings and Loan. It was closed in 1/1/1973 and reopened on 6/12/1975 as The Walt Disney Story featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. It was reprogrammed for different shows in 1984 and 2001. It was temporarily closed in 2005 for the opening of "Disneyland: The First 50 Years".

Haunted Mansion

Located in New Orleans Square and the exterior originally built in 1962-63, this New Orleans style southern antebellum mansion takes guests through their haunted abode. It is the only attraction located at four different Disney parks and in four different lands. It is listed as the home of "999 happy haunts".

Haunted Mansion Holiday

October 2001

Located in New Orleans Square, this special holiday version of the Haunted Mansion features Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas" characters. The Seasonal version of the attraction which runs from pre-Halloween until the end of Christmas season.

Located in Frontierland, this area near the Rivers of America features Native Americans demonstrating their culture through shows, dances, ceremonies and a recreated Indian village. It was moved in 1956, expanded in 1962, and later removed in 1971 to make room for Bear Country.

Located in Fantasyland, this playful voyage through the world of children all over the globe is seen in this colorful attraction. It was sponsored by Bank of America from 1966 to 1992. It was used in the New York World's Fair in 1964-65.

King Arthur's Carrousel

Located in Fantasyland, this all horse carrousel in the Castle courtyard and decorated with scenes from Sleeping Beauty. It is a reconditioned 1875 Dentzel Carrousel originally from Toronto, Canada. In 1975, all the horses were painted white. It was moved to it's present location in 1983 and restored in 2003.

Located on Main Street, it was an open floor cinema that showed silent short films. These included William S. Hart, Gloria Swanson and the Keystone Cops. It changed to an all black and white Mickey Mouse cartoons format in 1973+?. Films show continually through-out the day on 6 different screens.

Originally, this attraction used a separate free ticket. It was the first paddle-wheeler built since the turn of the century.
